I accidentally installed a software that comes with Babylon Search and it automatically changed my default search engine in Chrome and in Firefox.  It really annoys every time I make a search and I suffered for a couple of months in this setup.  Luckily, I got time to deal with it and successfully removed it from both Firefox and Chrome.  I thought of sharing it here so I could extend a little help to anyone wish to remove Babylon Search in their search engine.


First Go to your control panel, programs and features.

We are not done yet, we need to go to our browsers (in my case Google and Firefox)

To remove Babylon Search in Google Chrome.

• Find the Babylon in the list then select it or double click then uninstall it.
• Open your Google Chrome Browser.
• Look for the wrench icon located at the top right of Google Chrome Browser.. just right below the "X" button.
• Click the wrench icon and select settings in the list.
• You should now in the settings window.  Just scroll down a little and you you should find the "Search" settings.
• Click the drop down list and  select the search engine you wish to use.  In my case it is google.com.ph.

• Open your Firefox browser and click "alt+T"
• Select Options in the list
• Select "General" on the menu displayed at the top of the new window.
• Look for the phrase "home Page" then write your preferred home page.  In my case it is "www.google.com" (without quotes).
